The banking activity in the country is of fundamental importance in the socioeconomic context, and it is impossible to imagine the economy and the market without the provision of the credit service, to exemplify.
With regard to service and provision of a service, the understanding about the application of the Consumer Protection Code on banking activity is pacified, when in 2004, the STJ approved Summary 297, according to which “the Code of Consumer Protection is applicable to financial institutions.
